Tasteful surroundings and Ladin stylistic accents – A design hotel in South Tyrol

Here at the La Majun, you'll find a tasteful combination of traditional architectural accents, a minimalistic interpretation of alpine styles, and a flair for carefully staged illumination. The lamps at the La Majun are designed by international artists like Ayola S. Serfaty from Israel, Ingo Maurer, Philipp Starck, and the Italian designers Catellani & Smith. The rooms and suites are spacious and exude a comfortable feeling due to their warm wood furnishings – in complete accord with the basic goal of the Rinna and Mellauner host family to offer their guests not just a hotel, but a home away from home. Loden, a traditional fabric made in Alta Badia, can be found throughout the hotel, and is a further nod to Ladin culture. In selecting the furniture, too, the La Majun has been loyal to the Ladin culture: Every article of old wood, antique furniture, or modern carpentry comes from the Dolomites.

View of the Dolomites and level of comfort

In the quaint little village of La Villa, Mother Nature sets the tone: In the tastefully designed rooms and suites of the La Majun, you can sense the untamed spirit of the forests and the scent of alpine meadows. Thus, the rooms are paneled with light woods, the windows open to the mountains, and on the terraces and balconies, the scent of the nearby meadows is lofted on a gentle breeze.
