One of the many wonderful things to do during a winter holiday in Alta Badia is to go skiing in the Dolomiti Superski ski area, located within the UNESCO World Heritage site.

From November to April, the Dolomites are covered with a shimmering blanket of snow, surmounted by a clear blue sky. Skiers can enjoy the natural world of the Dolomites and access more than 1200 km of slopes, covering 12 different ski areas.

The Dolomiti Superski area offers almost endless possibilities for both experienced skiers and beginners. With the choice of 450 lifts, you can cover an incredible number of kilometres every day, a perfect scenario for experienced skiers.

 

The Alta Badia ski area

The Alta Badia ski area stands at an altitude of between 1,300 and 2,778 metres, and offers good conditions for skiing from December to April. Our area has 53 ski lifts and 130 km of slopes ranging from very easy to hard and technical, and so suitable for the whole family.

The little Alta Badia valley in the Dolomites of South Tyrol has a long tradition in cross-country skiing, producing such athletes as Maria Canis (winner of the Vasaloppet, the classic cross-country ski race) and Debora Agreiter (2014 Italian champion over 30 km). And then there are also the expert instructors at the Alta Badia cross-country ski school in Armentarola - San Cassiano.
